The institute is proud of the alumni who are placed in reputed organizations. The purpose of alumni meet in the Institute is to guide their juniors on career matters and recalls their forgotten memories in the Institute with fun and feelings. Alumni Association of Institute meets from time to time to facilitate interaction with students and faculty. The MBA Alumni Association was formed during the session 2001-2002. |

International Alumni Association of IBCS |
The association is a non-profit, democratic and non-political, autonomous volunteer organization. Its objectives are well defined by the Constitution, the main objective being to foster a lifelong intellectual connection between IBCS and its Alumni and provide support for the IBCS.
The Institute provides various assistance for developing the Association. These are articulated in the following lines: |

The Association has been allocated an office space to be used for its activities. |

An Alumni has been provided to maintain the various records of the Association. |

The Conference Room is provided for holding Association meetings, with prior permission. |

1 st Alumni Meet (24 th October 2001) |
This 1 st meet was organized in the Conference hall of IBCS. Around 20 members of Alumni association were present in this event. Prof. R. K. Bala, HOD, Dept. of Commerce, Utkal University; Prof. B. N. Pattanaik, Principal, IBCS; Mr. S. Pattnaik, Faculty Representative; Mr. Kitab Pattnaik, Alumni Representative presided over the meeting. Executive body meeting followed this. |

Matters Discussed: |
The students felt the necessity of forming an Alumni Association in the name of International Alumni Association of IBCS” t o share their views and experiences for the growth of the Institute in the future years with a close tie-off from this date. The draft bye law was approved and the Executive body was elected. The elected body took over the office of the Alumni Association. |

2 nd Alumni Meet (27 th October 2002) |

Matters Discussed |
The members discussed the future activities to be taken up by the Association in accordance with the b ye law of the association. Uninamously all the students present agreed to meet every year during Dussehara puja to hold the Annual General Body Meeting. |

3 rd Alumni Meet (4 th October 2003) |
This 2 nd meet was organized in the Conference hall of IBCS. Around 30 members of Alumni association were present in this event. Prof.S.Maharana, Dept. of Commerce, Utkal University; Prof..S..Mohanty, Principal, IBCS; Mr. S. Pattnaik, Faculty Representative; Mr. Kitab Pattnaik, Alumni Representative presided over the meeting. This was followed by Executive body meeting. |

Matters Discussed: |
It was decided to publish a half- yearly journal by the Association, which will carry out articles from the alumni. It was also decided to help Training and placement cell of the institute to augment the placement activities of the cell. |

4 th Alumni Meet (22.05.2004) |
The fourth Alumni Meet was organized at IBCS premises. Around 40 members of Alumni Association were present in this event. Prof. R. K. Bal, HOD, Dept. of Commerce, Utkal University, Prof. B. B. Pradhan, Dean (R & D), Prof. S. C. Sahoo, Mr. Sanjib Pattnaik, Faculty Representative, Mr. Gyana Ranjan Swain, President, Alumni Association presided over the meeting. This was followed by executive body meeting. |

The fifth Alumni Meet was organized in the Conference hall of IBCS. Around 25 members of Alumni association were present at the meet. Prof. S. C. Sahoo, Principal, IBCS, Mr. S. Pattnaik, Faculty Representative, Mr. Kitab Pattnaik, President, Alumni Asscciation presided over the meeting followed by the executive body meeting. |

6 th Alumni Meet (26.11.2006) |
This 6 th meet was organized in the Conference hall of IBCS. Around 30 members of Alumni association members were present in this event. Prof. B. N. Pattnaik, 1 st Principal, IBCS, Prof. S. C. Sahoo, Director (R&T), Prof. B. B. Pradhan, Dean (R&D), Prof. P. K. Swain, Principal (IBCS), Mr. S. K. Padhi, Director (P&A) and Mr. S. Pattnaik, Faculty representative, Alumni Association presided over the meeting followed by the executive meeting to strengthen the alumni cell through developing a database and others. |

It was decided to open a separate chamber for Alumni members at IBCS. It was decided to give all the information to the placement officer of IBCS about the job vacancies in their respective organizations. Steps were taken to create a group Email –id for all the members of Alumni Association. All the members agreed to give feedbacks about them by thier respective employers. |
